This tool aims to help public health organizations identify where they need to improve their overall performance through evaluating their level of readiness and accountability, the standards, indicators, and data that are collected/used to monitor processes, the reporting of progress and the quality improvement. This self-assessment tool is comprehensive and evaluates the organization aspirations (mission and vision), strategy, organizational skills (including planning and fundraising for instance), human resources (board, staff, volunteers, etc.), systems and infrastructures, culture, etc. This tool is found in appendix of the report on Effective Capacity Building in Nonprofit Organizations. This tool is addressed to non-profit organizations and aims to help them identify their improvement potential through evaluation of nine areas: strategic planning, resources management, board development, marketing, financial empowerment, social entrepreneurship, volunteer involvement, partnerships, and results analysis.
To be used by Southern CSOs and their partners, this tool is framed on the PROSE methodology (Participatory, Results-Oriented Self-Evaluation). It will help you measure your organizational capacities and consensus level in seven capacity areas: human and financial resources management, equitable participation, sustainability of program benefits, partnerships, organizational learning and strategic management/governance. This article provides a self-evaluation tool to assess the performance or utility of your "existing and forming" collaborative groups. You can find two main sections on this page: a short literature review on collaboration and the collaboration checklist (with its terms being defined and guidelines for interpreting your results).
